Form

I'm a sucker for form. While "free-style" and "experimental" poetry has it's place, it does nothing for me.

Form in and of itself will not do the trick, however. It must be expertly executed & offer something of the soul; after all, the soul is where poetry comes from. To take words and make beauty out of them is a talent & a gift. To execute them through form is incredible & that is what excites me.

I can like a poem about almost any subject if the form & the inspiration are there and well-crafted.
